In contrast to Black powder or Pyrodex, Hodgdon® Triple SevenTM Magnum Pellets are formed charges of loose Triple SevenTM muzzleloader powder manufactured from gluconic acid, a sugar-based propellant. The pellets burn well, leaving fewer residues, and because they are sulfur-free, they do not emit a foul smell after firing. This makes cleaning easier. Additionally, there is no requirement for powder measurements or flasks, and powder spills won’t be a problem.
